“We visited the Sherwood Inn in early September (main location) and our stay was so lovely that we booked a return visit for October! This time we stayed at the Arbor House (one of the Sherwood Inn properties). We couldn't have made a better choice for our family!

We had one room in the main house (for our daughter and her family with two young children) and another in the Carriage House. The Sherwood Inn reservation team absolutely steered us in the right direction as these two rooms were perfect! The Concord Room in the main house afforded my daughter all the comforts of home, with a charming sitting room, enclosed front porch, kitchen and dining room. The historic property exuded charm and the Riesling Room in the Carriage House was equally well-appointed for our needs. The property also boasts a large lawn area behind the Carriage House where the children could run and play in the leaves. Everyone at the Sherwood Inn / Arbor House properties could not have been more gracious / accommodating. Any request or question was answered immediately, with kindness and professionalism. So...we're already planning our next visit to Skaneateles to relax, enjoy the beautiful town and scenery as well as the wonderful restaurants - there is no better choice for a hotel!”

Calm Retreat, Victorian Charm

“My two stays at the Arbor House Inn were a great respite during a difficult family time. You can sink into the warmth of a jacuzzi, sit by a warm fire and nuzzle into a comfy bed. I was so completely at home, if my home looked as good as this! There are rooms in the main house and in an annex separate from it. I stayed in both and found the Annex a tad less charming than the main house but nonetheless would be great for families in that the room was more spacious. In any season, this Finger lakes town offers a perfect base for travel in the region, or even for visiting Syracuse. I can't wait for my next trip to the region and a visit to Arbor house.”

“I recently stayed in the Bella Rose room and it was beautiful. My girlfriend and I could not have been more pleased with the stay. In addition, I found the service to be exceptional as well. I was able to contact via email and get responses quickly. By far it has been the best overall place I have ever stayed in. My girlfriend and I have already discussed about staying at the Arbor House Inn again in the future. The location was excellent and I found the village to be very peaceful. I would highly recommend someone whom is planning to stay here. It was funny, when check out time came we did not want to leave!”

Location, Location, Location!

“We just wanted to tell you how amazing the Arbor House was, as well as their sister hotel the Sherwood. We stayed in the Concord room at Arbor, which was exquisite. We had a fireplace in room, and connecting rooms to lounge in. The kitchen had many amenities which allowed us to make our hot chocolate with all the trimmings. The sun porch had a beautiful Christmas tree in, which added to the enjoyment of our Dickens weekend. The staff at Sherwood helped with concierge services whenever needed.  Both hotels were decorated beautifully for the holiday.   Best of all, was the location, right across from a Tops supermarket, and a short walk to all the shops and eateries. I’m so glad we found this hotel, which has not seen the last of us. Thank you for your amazing service.”

“This is a quaint and charming inn nestled in the town and across from the Tops grocery store. There is a Jacuzzi tub for relaxing in after walking through the town shopping at the little shops. Continental breakfast is served in the morning at the Sherwood Inn for your breakfast. The hotel over looks the park and small body of water across from the hotel. The town is all with in walking distance of everything. What a great get away from home for a night !”

I experienced the Bella Rose and it was the BEST! Any other room, of which I got to tour through would have been perfect as well. Again, I can't say enough regarding this GEM. Promise!!!! You will LOVE it!!!!
